SUNY Jamestown Community College’s Dr. Arnaud Lambert has been accepted into the State University of New York’s prestigious and highly competitive Institute for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Professionals.
SUNY Jamestown Community College has received the 90+ cashVest Award for 2025 in recognition of its leadership in public finance liquidity management.
The award is presented through a collaboration between the National Association of Counties and three+one, a national financial technology firm that evaluates cash-management practices in the public sector. The recognition highlights JCC’s commitment to maximizing taxpayer and tuition dollars to deliver strong financial benefits to the communities it serves.
OLEAN, N.Y. — In a private gathering with the Stitt Family on Nov. 19, SUNY Jamestown Community College officials unveiled the naming of the James E. and Carol Stitt Center for Entrepreneurship at JCC on the Cattaraugus County Campus.
The JCC Board of Trustees recently approved the naming.
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Two music events celebrating the winter season are planned for December at SUNY Jamestown Community College. Both events are free and open to the public.
The JCC Concert Choir and Concert Band present a collection of musical selections during their annual Winter Concert in the Jamestown Campus Scharmann Theatre at 7 p.m. Dec. 9. The Concert Choir is directed by Julie Costantini and the Concert Band by Chris Wakefield.

Children and families are invited to a free showing of the “The Muppet Christmas Carol” at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at Cutco Theater. Before the movie, starting at 4 p.m., all are invited for visits with Santa.
Popcorn and water will be provided at no cost to moviegoers.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Students, alumni, and community members are invited to audition for SUNY Jamestown Community College’s production of "Biloxi Blues” from 6-9 p.m. on Dec. 3 and 4 at the Jamestown Campus Scharmann Theatre.
Auditions are open to individuals of all experience levels, from first-time performers to seasoned actors. The show will take the stage in March 2026.
CELORON, N.Y. — The SUNY Jamestown Community College Foundation recognized recipients of the John D. Hamilton and Distinguished Alumnus awards during its annual awards gala on Thursday, Nov. 6 at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel.
This year’s honorees of the Hamilton Award include former longtime faculty members Chuck Brininger, Cindy Hinz, Becky Nystrom, and Frank and Elizabeth Petiprin, along with retired staff members Denise Burbey, Maria Kindberg, Michael Moots, and Anthony and Connie Pilato.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — SUNY Jamestown Community College’s Veterans and Military Aligned Student Club will host its third annual Veterans Day 5K run/walk on Sunday, Nov. 9.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. at the Jamestown Campus Physical Education Complex parking lot off Curtis Street, with the race starting at 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers.
