Scholarship support at JCC

Jamestown Community College offers over $1,000,000 in annual scholarship support, and over half of our students graduate debt-free. Complete the JCC Scholarship Application to be considered for scholarships as they become available.

You can qualify for several JCC scholarships based on your class rank, if you live on campus, and veteran status.

Unified Student Assistance (USA) Scholarship

Apply to: JCC Admissions and file FAFSA; no separate scholarship application required

Amount: NYS resident tuition less Pell, TAP, and PA State Grant

Deadline: File JCC Admissions and FAFSA applications

Eligibility: First-time, full-time freshmen applicants ranked in the top 20% of their graduating class, earning Regents diplomas from accredited high schools in NY counties of Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, or Allegany or with academic diplomas from high schools in PA counties of Warren, Forest, Potter, McKean, Elk, or Cameron or PA cities of Corry or North East

Duration: The USA Scholarship will pay for up to four semesters of NYS resident tuition not covered by PELL, TAP, or PA State Grant, or JCC tuition waivers. USA scholars must enroll in, and complete, at least 12 credits each semester with a 3.0 semester and cumulative grade point average to maintain eligibility to receive this award. Eligibility is reviewed at the end of each semester.

Residence Halls Out-of-State Tuition Grant

Apply to: JCC Admissions, file FAFSA, and submit the JCC Hillside Suites application with deposit

Amount: One-half of the current academic year out-of-state tuition amount

Eligibility: Full-time U.S. non-NYS resident students residing in the JCC Hillside Suites. You must meet minimum college satisfactory academic progress requirements to maintain your eligibility to receive this award. For students attending the Jamestown Campus

Live Where You Learn Scholarship

Apply to: JCC Admissions, and file FAFSA and submit JCC Hillside Suites application with deposit

Amount: $500/semester

Eligibility: Full-time NYS resident residing on the Jamestown Campus in the JCC Hillside Suites who graduates from high school with an average of 80% or higher. Students receiving the Live Where You Learn Scholarship must enroll in, and complete, at least 12 credits each semester with a 2.5 or higher semester grade point average (GPA) to maintain eligibility to receive this award in future semesters. Eligibility is reviewed at the end of each semester.

Duration: Up to four semesters

Good Neighbors - PA Scholarship (Trial*)

Apply to: JCC Admissions and file FAFSA

Amount: One-half of the current academic year out-of-state tuition amount

Eligibility: New matriculated (degree-seeking) students who demonstrate residency in McKean, Warren, and Erie counties in Pennsylvania. Students can be part time or full time students. You must meet minimum college satisfactory academic progress requirements to maintain your eligibility to receive this award. Eligibility is reviewed at the end of each academic semester.   • Students residing in residence halls are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • Students who are awarded the Good Neighbors - PA Scholarship may also be eligible for the USA Scholarship.

Duration: Available for two semesters (fall 2025 and spring 2026)

*This trial is being supported with JCC Foundation funding and is currently scheduled to support the 2025-2026 academic year only.

Veterans' Scholarship in Memory of Traci Maybach

This scholarship is open to all full- and part-time students seeking a JCC degree or certificate who are active duty military or reservist; veterans who received an honorable discharge; or spouses and dependents of military members who received an honorable discharge.
