Next steps after registration
Once you have registered for your classes at Jamestown Community College as an online student, you can prepare for the upcoming semester.
Brightspace is where your online courses live. Most students will be able to access Brightspace within 24 hours of registering for their classes.
Classes will open in Brightspace the Thursday before the official first day of classes. These are Preview Days for you to view your syllabi and troubleshoot technology issues before the first day of class.
Complete the Intro to Brightspace course to learn everything you need to know about using Brightspace before classes begin. You will have access to the course within 24 hours of registering for classes and can refer to it anytime throughout the semester.
If you have issues logging into Brightspace, contact your success navigator or the JCC Help Desk (716.338.1122 | JCCHelpDesk@suny.edu).
Orientation is a time to get connected with the college, understand expectations, and make sure you have everything prepared for the semester. Whether you are a fully online student or an on-campus student taking a few online classes, JCC has an orientation planned for you.
