The Roger Tory Peterson Institute is home to the largest collection of Jamestown native Roger Tory Peterson’s original artwork and related archival materials, as well as programs to raise environmental awareness. Olean highlight: Heart of Olean Mural

  • Location: Olean, NY - right on our Cattaraugus County Campus!

The Heart of Olean Mural is a 10,000 square-foot mural on JCC's Library and Liberal Arts Center. Artist Meg Saligman, who has produced large-scale community-driven murals around the world, chose the Olean campus to pay homage to her late father and the city where she was raised. Saligman hosted community conversations and paint days as part of the project.
