What can you study at JCC?

You can study CNC machining, engineering and physics, industrial maintenance, mechanical design, and welding at Jamestown Community College.

JCC has academic credit programs and workforce programs. Both equip you for industry careers with expert faculty, technical training, and career support.

  • Academic programs are completed for college credit, including short-term microcredentials, one-year certificates, and two-year degrees.
  • Workforce microcredentials are completed without receiving college credit. However, some qualify for Credit for Prior Learning (CPL).

CNC Machining

CNC machining at JCC teaches you how to operate CNC machines, including programming, set up for production, and running them to create products.

Engineering & Physics

JCC’s Engineering program focuses on the first two years of a four-year degree, where you’ll take intensive math, physics, and manufacturing courses in preparation for a four-year school.

Mechanical Design

Mechanical design at JCC involves drafting for CNC machining. You’ll learn how to make professional mechanical drawings according to industry standards, which can be sent anywhere in the world for the creation of parts.
