Short-term training at JCC in industrial automation technology

Students who complete the Industrial Automation Technology microcredential at Jamestown Community College will be able to obtain the skills necessary for an entry level position in the field of mechatronics. Students will take courses that will expose them to relevant experiences in industrial automation, allowing them to explore the field of industrial automation technology and the potential for further education in this field.

Industrial automation technology skills

Through the program, you will:

  • Program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic diagrams.
  • Program industrial robots utilizing a teach pendant.
  • Understand and troubleshoot DC circuits, single and three-phase phase AC circuits and their controls.
