The gallery's current exhibition, "Reiterations in Glass," will be on view during this event. Refreshments and hors d'ouevres will be served.
The Week's Gallery will host an opening reception and curator's talk for it's fall exhibition. Erika Diamond, curator for "Reiterations in Glass," is a textile-focused artist, curator, and educator. She holds degrees from Rhode Island School of Design and Virginia Commonwealth University.
Linked by the use of repetition, this exhibition features a breadth of techniques and perspectives in the ever-expanding field of glass. Each artist on view was previously shown in Corning Museum of Glass’s publication "New Glass Review 42." Curator Erika Diamond was introduced to many of the exhibiting artists as one of the jurors for that publication, along with Susie Silbert, Sarah Darro, and Simón Ballen Botero. This curatorial project acts as an extension of that discovery process, and as a way to further connect the JCC community to the resources of the nearby glass museum.
