Assistant Professor
A native of Erie, Pennsylvania, I am looking forward to joining the SUNY family at Jamestown Community College. I have held various roles within the sport industry over the past 15 years at the high school, college, and professional sports levels, as well as sports park facilities. Most recently, I have spent the past 10 years as the assistant athletic director, sport information director, and head women’s soccer coach at Mercyhurst University – the North East Campus.
At Mercyhurst North East, I was instrumental in the development of their sport management program while teaching Intro to the Sport Industry, Sport Marketing and Promotion, Legal and Ethical Aspects of Sport, Advanced Techniques in Coaching, Principles of Public Relations, and Sport Officiating.
I have obtained bachelor’s degrees in both marketing from Penn State Behrend and sport administration from Lock Haven University. I also have a master’s degree in sport science/administration from Lock Haven University. While at Penn State Behrend, I was a three-year team captain and all-conference goalkeeper for the men’s soccer team and was inducted into the Penn State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013.
During my free time I enjoy collecting sports cards and autographs and have had the privilege of meeting over 500 professional athletes and celebrities. I am a die-hard San Antonio Spurs fan, a Buffalo Bills fan by association, an avid reader, and a sub-par golfer. I currently reside in Erie, PA with my amazing wife Colleen, adorable daughter Lydia, and stubborn English bulldog Gus.
