  • MAT 1600: Precalculus

I have been teaching developmental and freshman level mathematics courses at JCC for over 20 years, and have always looked for ways to make the mathematics in these courses accessible, interesting, and relevant to students who enroll. This summer I am excited to teach our College Algebra & Trigonometry and Precalculus courses, which together represent a comprehensive study of functional relationships and the characteristics that help define various families of functions. So this summer, come learn about the mild-mannered Polynomial family, their quirky cousins the Rationals, the hot-headed, explosive Exponentials, their nemeses the Logarithms, and let us not forget the perennial Trigonometrics!
