Elevate 2030 plan for JCC
Jamestown Community College’s five-year strategic and operations plan is Elevate 2030. Elevate 2030 focuses on two key strategic directions, supporting pathways to regional employment and utilizing AI.
Strategic directions
SD 1: Position the College as the on-ramp to in-demand learning opportunities leading to prosperous careers in the Southern Tier West region.
- Goal 1: Complete detailed journey mapping to optimize student communication strategies, improve engagement, and identify targeted career exploration opportunities, thereby strengthening pathways to regional employment.
- Goal 2: Enhance online learner supports and engagement by conducting a comprehensive gap analysis of existing infrastructure and resources, ensuring accessible, equitable, and effective support systems for all students.
- Goal 3: Integrate career exploration and awareness into academic and workforce development curricula, as well as student engagement experiences, to provide students with ongoing opportunities to discover and explore in-demand careers aligned with regional economic needs.
SD 2: Harness the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance teaching, learning, and operational performance.
- Goal 4: Complete comprehensive AI training and documentation to support operational efficiency, change readiness, instructional innovation, and succession planning, with a focus on integrating AI tools into teaching practices to improve student engagement and learning outcomes, while upholding ethical standards and responsible AI use.
- Goal 5: Leverage AI technologies to review, update, and streamline workflows, policies, and procedures; provide AI training to faculty and staff in order to establish a secure and scalable AI infrastructure; and incorporate AI-driven tools into curricular and co-curricular activities to support personalized learning, career exploration, and ethical considerations in AI application.
- Goal 6: Improve data-driven decision making with AI dashboards and analytics to build timely, actionable college dashboards to support strategic planning.
