STD Testing & Birth Control Clinic

The Chautauqua County  Department of Health will conduct free STD, HIV, and Hep C testing.

Did you know that half of all sexually active people will get an STI (sexually transmitted infection) before the age of 25?

Co-sponsored by JCC's health center.

Wooden Cities Concert

Wooden Cities Ensemble, a collective of performers and composers, performs experimental music during a special performance.

The ensemble is devoted to working with young musicians and encouraging them to explore new methods of creating, performing, and thinking about music.

Since technology is an integral component of their music, Wooden Cities personnel will conduct workshops from 10-11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. in JCC's digital recording studios using live electronics, fixed electronic media, and live performers.

Jazz Fest: Music By Ellington and Strayhorn

The Buffalo Jazz Collective Sextet headlines this year's event.

In celebration of International Jazz Month, the sextet presents a concert featuring significant works by legendary jazz composers Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn. The performance includes original orchestrations and arrangements of classic songs such as "Take the A Train" and "In a Sentimental Mood," and compositions from "Isfahan."

The sextet includes Bobby Militello, Mark Filsinger, John Hasselback, George Caldwell, Sabu Adeyola, and John Bacon.

Earthfest

Exhibition Reception: The Art of Recovery

An informal exhibition of drawings, masks, ceramics, knitted items, and poetry created by Mental Health Association clients.

JCC's OTA interns worked with MHA clients on this project.

The exhibition, on display until March 13, is a collaboration between the OTA program, MHA, and Weeks Gallery. Refreshments will be served.
