SUNY Jamestown Community College is accepting nominations for the 2026 Alumni Nurse of Distinction Award, which will be presented at the JCC Foundation Awards Gala in November. 

For more than 60 years, JCC’s Nursing program has prepared highly skilled and compassionate professionals who serve communities across western New York. The Alumni Nurse of Distinction Award recognizes graduates who reflect that legacy through excellence in patient care and dedication to the nursing profession.

SUNY Jamestown Community College’s annual Golf Classic returns to the Holiday Valley Double Black Diamond Course in Ellicottville on Wednesday, June 17. 

Presented by Community Bank, this year’s tournament marks the 34th annual event that raises funds for the JCC alumni associations.  

Golfers who participate will receive a pizza lunch at check in, swag bag with snacks, entry in the hole in one contest, and an Italian feast banquet dinner following the tournament.

Enrollment at SUNY Jamestown Community College continues to climb this spring semester.  

Total headcount rose in spring 2026 by 5.6 percent over spring 2025. College leaders reported that 1,912 students enrolled for the spring semester, 60 percent of which are enrolled full-time and 40 percent part-time.

Dr. Jessica Kubiak, vice president of Academic Affairs, and Ron Shidemantle, vice president for Student Experience, announced that 108 students earned degrees or certificates from the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses of SUNY Jamestown Community College in fall 2025.

Six students earned highest honors with a 4.0 GPA. Forty-four students earned high honors with GPAs ranging from 3.50 to 3.99, and 14 students earned honors with GPAs between 3.25 and 3.49.
