JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — SUNY Jamestown Community College will take part in Give Big CHQ, a 24-hour online fundraising event supporting local nonprofits, on June 11.
The college will raise funds for its Outstanding Future Educator Scholarship, which is awarded to a rising sophomore education major who demonstrates strong potential, character and growth as a future educator. JCC’s goal is to raise $2,000.
Give Big CHQ connects donors with causes across Chautauqua County and provides nonprofit organizations with a platform to raise money and awareness for their missions.
Hosted by the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, the annual event also features incentives such as matching gifts and “power hours,” offering nonprofits additional opportunities to maximize donations.
Since its launch in 2018, Give Big CHQ has raised more than $2.3 million to support local nonprofit organizations.
