Twelve 2025 graduates of SUNY Jamestown Community College completed all requirements to earn the college’s Honors program citation. Each was honored during the Jamestown Campus commencement ceremony on Saturday.
Thirteen students participated in SUNY Jamestown Community College Career Services Student Showcase in April, with winners crowned in applied learning, academic accomplishment, and artistic accomplishment categories.
Previously known as Scholars Day, the Student Showcase celebrates academic research and creative activity among students and their faculty mentors.

Five keynote speakers collaborated to weave their stories of SUNY Jamestown Community College’s past and present into a reflection of the institution's long-standing core values during commencement ceremonies on Friday at the Olean YMCA and Saturday morning at the Jamestown Campus Physical Education Complex gymnasium.
The SUNY Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting in the boardrooms of the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses, and North County Center.

SUNY Jamestown Community College recently introduced a scholarship that will make higher education more affordable for Pennsylvania students.
The Good Neighbors Scholarship is available to residents in McKean, Warren, and Erie counties in PA and covers half the cost of out-of-state tuition to JCC. That means eligible full- or part-time students can attend JCC for the in-state rate.
The 2025 JCC Foundation Awards Gala celebrates the college's 75th anniversary and honors recipients of the John D. Hamilton Award, Distinguished Alumni Award, and Nurse of Distinction Award, as well as student scholarship winners. The gala begins at 5:30 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. followed by the awards presentation.
SUNY Jamestown Community College’s commencement ceremonies will feature student speakers from the Cattaraugus County and Jamestown campuses.
Samantha Simon will speak at the Cattaraugus County Campus ceremony at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 16 at the Olean YMCA, and Tarryn Meyer at the Jamestown ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 17 in the on-campus Physical Education Complex gymnasium.
