SUNY JCC Announces Full-Time Dean’s List for Spring 2025 Semester

The following SUNY Jamestown Community College students earned full-time dean’s list honors for academic excellence during the spring 2025 semester. To be eligible, a student must achieve a minimum 3.50 GPA while enrolled in at least 12 degree hours.

SUNY Jamestown Community College recently honored 65 high school students from throughout southwestern New York as the 2024-2025 students of the year in the College Connections program.  

In selecting the students of the year, schools were asked to consider College Connections participants who had embraced the challenges of completing college level work and demonstrated resourcefulness, integrity, and dedication.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Chautauqua and Cattaraugus County high school students participated in the 13th annual College Connections speech contest at SUNY Jamestown Community College’s Scharmann Theatre on April 30. 

The eight competing students were asked to discuss one of the United Nations’ 17 sustainable goals that they would advocate for and what we might do to advance that goal.

Thirteen students participated in SUNY Jamestown Community College Career Services Student Showcase in April, with winners crowned in applied learning, academic accomplishment, and artistic accomplishment categories. 

Previously known as Scholars Day, the Student Showcase celebrates academic research and creative activity among students and their faculty mentors.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Artistic works produced by nine SUNY Jamestown Community College students earned awards at the Juried Student Art Exhibition that opened Friday, May 2 at Weeks Gallery on the Jamestown Campus. 

Victoria Scalise of Jamestown won best in show for “Pierced,” created using pins and fabric.

Tonie Westlake describes balancing school, work, and her personal life as “pure chaos.” 

It’s understandable. In addition to being a mother to four children ranging from 10 months to 17 years old, Westlake is a full-time student in SUNY Jamestown Community College’s Nursing program and a healthcare employee who has worked overnights.
