Attend JCC with the John A. & Oscar Johnson Memorial Scholarship

Jamestown Community College offers the John A. and Oscar Johnson Memorial Scholarship to part-time and full-time students who are Chautauqua County residents and enrolled in the Nursing or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) programs.

Amount

Award amounts vary from year to year depending on total scholarship funding.

The scholarship is designed to cover all eligible students’ tuition, fees, and books not already funded by Pell, TAP, or other grants or scholarships.

If funding remains after these costs are covered for all eligible students, the scholarship may also help with additional cost-of-attendance expenses.

Eligibility
  • Be admitted and enrolled in JCC’s Nursing or Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Graduated from a Chautauqua County high school and be a current Chautauqua County resident
  • Be enrolled as a part-time or full-time student
  • Demonstrate financial need by meeting NYS TAP grant eligibility thresholds
Duration & Maintaining Eligibility

The John A. and Oscar Johnson Memorial Scholarship is available for the entire duration of a student’s enrollment in the Nursing or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program, provided the student:

  1. Continues to meet all scholarship eligibility and financial aid requirements each semester; and
  2. Funding for the scholarship remains available.
