Short-term training at JCC in entrepreneurship
The Entrepreneurial Basics microcredential at Jamestown Community College is designed to offer basic business management skills that will help someone start and manage a small business. Students who complete this microcredential will be able to apply creative problem-solving skills in a small business setting. Students will understand basic financial concepts, marketing theories, and management principles that are relevant for startup and ongoing business management.

How to earn
- Apply to JCC and choose your degree or certificate program.
- Work with your advisor to register for the microcredential courses.
- After you've completed the courses, contact the Registrar's Office to have it added to your record.

Entrepreneurial basics skills
Through the program, you will:
- Recognize the importance of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking and develop an understanding of the entrepreneurial mindset.
- Demonstrate an understanding of entrepreneurship fundamentals in the areas of finance, accounting, marketing and communications.
- Develop, test, and validate a prototype idea for a new business venture.
