In the most difficult or sublime of moments, it can be hard to communicate our deepest emotions. Often these experiences, rooted in or worn by the body, need catharsis. These artists use text in the form of lists, poetry, prose, and protest in an attempt to heal, connect, and…find the words.

Area small businesses and entrepreneurs are invited to join SUNY JCC Workforce Development for this networking event in Cattaraugus County. Share your strengths, areas for growth, and professional development resources that are of interest. JCC is excited to help entrepreneurs and has exciting projects in progress to assist with their goals.

Enjoy snacks and coffee and strengthen your relationships with other area business owners. All are welcome.

The fair is geared for job seekers of all ages and experience levels. Attendees should dress professionally and be prepared with multiple copies of their resumes. Employers such as Upper Allegany Health Care System, Cutco Corporation, and Great Lakes Cheese will be on hand to network and provide interview and resume pointers upon request.

Weather permitting, Earthfest 2024 will be held along the central campus walkways near the pond and in the Student Union. The event will feature educational and informational displays and exhibits from local environmental organizations, student groups, eco-friendly businesses, and public agencies. The Earth Awareness Club will also hold a tree seedling adoption and chance auction.

Hear from Kyle Horton, local store manager from the Chautauqua Old Navy location, as he leads a workshop on what employers are looking for in an interview and on the job! A career tips session will follow during lunch, which will be a free pasta and salad bar! Be sure you don't miss this inside scoop on how to impress employers!
