Enrollment at SUNY Jamestown Community College continues to climb this spring semester.
Total headcount rose in spring 2026 by 5.6 percent over spring 2025. College leaders reported that 1,912 students enrolled for the spring semester, 60 percent of which are enrolled full-time and 40 percent part-time.
Dr. Jessica Kubiak, vice president of Academic Affairs, and Ron Shidemantle, vice president for Student Experience, announced that 108 students earned degrees or certificates from the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses of SUNY Jamestown Community College in fall 2025.
Six students earned highest honors with a 4.0 GPA. Forty-four students earned high honors with GPAs ranging from 3.50 to 3.99, and 14 students earned honors with GPAs between 3.25 and 3.49.
Nominations are being sought for the 2026 alumni awards given by the SUNY Jamestown Community College Foundation.
Since 1980, the Alumni Association has presented accomplished alumni with the Distinguished Alumnus Award, the association’s highest honor. The award is given to those who have typified the college’s tradition of excellence and brought credit to the college through personal accomplishment, professional achievement, or humanitarian service.
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Liberty Partnerships program students from Jamestown, Dunkirk, and Salamanca school districts, along with their family members, participated in SUNY Jamestown Community College’s annual Winterfest celebration in January on the Jamestown Campus.
Attendees, including 130 middle and high school students, engaged in various activities, including karaoke, face painting, a hot chocolate bar, a snowflake treasure hunt, arts and crafts, games, and prize giveaways. The event also featured a dessert buffet and dinner provided by Honest John's Pizzeria.

Sarah Bray, associate professor of Business at SUNY Jamestown Community College, has been selected as a State University of New York Academic Momentum Fellow.
Bray is one of 24 faculty and staff members across SUNY chosen to participate in the inaugural fellowship cohort, SUNY announced on Feb. 9. Launched during the fall semester, the SUNY Academic Momentum Campaign provides additional support and technical assistance to improve student retention and completion at all system campuses.
The following SUNY Jamestown Community College students were named to the full-time dean’s list for academic excellence for the Fall 2025 semester. To qualify, students earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher while completing at least 12 degree hours.
