Heart of Olean Mural Dedication Ceremony

"Vantage Point: Our Valley of the Sun," created by world-renowned mural artist Meg Saligman will be dedicated during this ceremony. More than 25 artists and 1,000 community members have contributed to this four-sided, exterior installation, which pays tribute to the college and Olean community. 

BSU Dinner and JCC Poetry Contest hosted by Odd?Rod

Soul Food Dinner 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Poetry Contest to follow at 7 p.m.

Submit 1-2 of your original works of poetry to CampusLifeJamestown@mail.sunyjcc.edu. Submissions will be shared with a selection committee of faculty, staff, and students to select the top 10-15 poems.
Poets will be invited to share their poems at the spoken-word contest for a chance to win one of three gift cards: 1st winner - $100, 2nd winner - $50, 3rd winner - $30, Written Winner: $100.

Submission deadline is 4 p.m. Nov. 9.

Olean Juneteenth Celebration

Juneteenth, which became a New York-state recognized public holiday in 2020 and a federal holiday in 2021, has been celebrated in Olean every year since 2011. This is the first time the event will be held on campus.
 

Ramadan Event: Eid al-Fitr

Eid al-Fitr, also known as the Festival of Breaking the Fast, takes place after Ramadan fasting. 

The International Club is pleased to welcome you to experience this Muslim religious celebration. There will be various snacks and treats to sample, Islamic music to hear, and traditional cultural clothing to see. 

Exhibition Opening Reception: Juried Student Art & Design Show

Join the Weeks Gallery at Jamestown Community College for an opening reception and awards ceremony for JCC's Juried Student Art and Design Exhibition. This is a professionally juried exhibition, featuring works from all JCC campuses, and includes painting, drawing and prints, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and digital media. Awards will be presented to students who exhibit excellence working in a particular artistic medium.

Spring Concert 2022

The JCC Music Department is proud to present the 2022 Spring Concert!

This exciting program is open to the public and will feature the JCC Concert Choir and Concert Band performing a variety of selections in different styles. The Concert Choir is directed by Julie Costantini and the Concert Band is under the direction of Chris Wakefield. This event will also be live streamed via Zoom.
