'Amistad' Movie Viewing

See the classic Steven Spielberg film "Amistad" followed by a moderated discussion.

Released in 1997, "Amistad" tells the true story of a group of Africans who seized control of the slave ship La Amistad in 1839 and the landmark court case that followed. The film explores the fight for freedom and justice that ultimately reached the U.S. Supreme Court.

Admission is free and open to the public.

Juried Student Art & Design Exhibition Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony

The juried exhibition features works from all JCC locations and includes painting, drawing and prints, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and digital media. Any student who has taken an art class at JCC has a unique opportunity to have their work professionally juried, installed, and exhibited in the Weeks Gallery.

Jurors include Art faculty Madison LaVallee, Nathan Jeffery, Mark Kirsch, Brenna Turner, and Tom Makovitch. 

Spring Concert 2026

The JCC Music Department is proud to present the 2026 Spring Concert! This exciting program features the JCC Concert Choir and Concert Band performing a variety of selections in different styles. The Concert Band will also perform with special guest saxophonist Andy Wen in the New York premiere of JCC Music Chair Neil Flory’s “Concerto No. 2 for Alto Saxophone and Concert Band”. 

The Concert Choir is directed by Julie Costantini and the Concert Band is under the direction of Chris Wakefield. The concert is open to the public with no charge for admission.
