JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – The Chautauqua Center’s Mobile Healthcare Unit is coming to SUNY Jamestown Community College to deliver a range of medical services to students.
Staffed by licensed healthcare professionals, the mobile unit is scheduled to be on the Jamestown Campus, outside the college Health Center in the Hamilton College Center parking lot, every other Wednesday during the spring and fall semesters in 2024.
“We are committed to supporting the holistic well-being of our students,” said Roger Johnson, JCC’s director of Health Services. “This partnership with The Chautauqua Center demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that all students have access to the healthcare they need so they can succeed both academically and personally.”
TCC’s mobile unit will provide students convenient access to essential healthcare services, including:
- Reproductive health consultations
- Contraception counseling and prescription
- STD/STI testing and treatment
- Routine primary care checkups
- Immunizations
- Prescriptions
The Chautauqua Center is a non-profit healthcare organization dedicated to providing affordable, high-quality care to all.
“We are thrilled to partner with JCC to improve student health and well-being,” said Michael Pease, executive director of The Chautauqua Center. “Students face unique challenges when it comes to accessing healthcare, and this mobile unit partnership will remove barriers by providing confidential, affordable services right on campus.”
