The SUNY Jamestown Community College Foundation will celebrate 75 years of impact at its annual Awards Gala, presented by Assured Partners, on Thursday, Nov. 6, at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel.
The gala, which begins at 5:30 p.m., will feature the presentation of the John D. Hamilton Award to a group of JCC retirees whose service and dedication have shaped the college community for decades.
Honorees include former longtime faculty Chuck Brininger, Cindy Hinz, Becky Nystrom, and Frank and Elizabeth Petiprin, along with retired staff members Denise Burbey, Maria Kindberg, Michael Moots, and Anthony and Connie Pilato.
In addition, 2004 graduate Briana Postle will receive the Distinguished Alumnus Award in recognition of her professional achievements and contributions to her community. Postle, a licensed clinical social worker and therapist in Chautauqua County, is the founder of Peace of Mind Counseling and the nonprofit Together We Bloom, organizations dedicated to providing compassionate support for teens and adults facing mental health challenges.
The evening will include video tributes featuring Postle and each of the honored retirees. Longtime retired employee Nelson Garifi will open the event with a toast to JCC’s 75th anniversary. Guests will also enjoy live music during the cocktail and dinner hours.
Black and white cocktail attire is preferred for this special celebration. A cash bar will be available.
Tickets are available to purchase online at sunyjcc.edu/FoundationGala through Oct. 20. Individual tickets start at $80, with the opportunity for additional sponsorships.
