OLEAN, N.Y. — Student leaders for the 2024-2025 academic year at SUNY Jamestown Community College’s Cattaraugus County Campus were announced following recent elections.
Serving on the JCC Student Senate are Luthaya Beard and Phoenix Beard of Cuba; Nicholas Camillo of Franklinville, Allison Langston of Olean; Jillian Long of Portville; and Alex Misenheimer of Olean.
Phoenix Beard was elected president, Langston vice president, Luthaya Beard secretary and Camillo treasurer.
Phoenix Beard is a sophomore studying Information Technology and Cybersecurity. Phoenix is a roller coaster enthusiast who enjoys being creative.
Luthaya Beard is a sophomore studying Computer Science and Cybersecurity. Luthaya’s hobbies include video games, writing, reading, cooking, and going to museums.
Camillo is a sophomore studying Cybersecurity. A military veteran, Nick enjoys being creative and building things.
Langston is a sophomore studying Human Services. Allison's hobbies include painting, reading, video games, and anything horror related.
Long is a sophomore studying Adolescence Education with an English concentration. Jillian’s hobbies include four-wheeling, volunteering, reading, watching movies, and working.
Misenheimer is a freshman studying Computer Science. Alex's hobbies include video games, coding, designing, and digital art.
Student Senate is the officially-recognized, student-governing body of the college. Members represent the student body and the community, and have a direct voice in student affairs and college activities.
Lisa Yohon, Cattaraugus County Campus director of Campus Life, is the Senate advisor.
