Senator George Borrello (R-57) recently presented JCC president Daniel DeMarte with a State Senate proclamation congratulating JCC on its 70th anniversary year. JCC, founded in 1950 as the first locally sponsored community college chartered by the State University of New York system, is sponsored by the city of Jamestown and Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties. “We’re proud of our legacy -- which includes over 27,000 alumni --and our ability to serve the education, enrichment, and economic development needs of our students over seven decades," said Dr. DeMarte.
