College 101: Parent Edition Sessions Planned

College 101: Parent Edition Sessions Planned
Monday, December 14, 2020

College 101: Parent Edition will be hosted at several high schools in February and March by JCC admissions and financial aid representatives.

The program, which meets from 6-7:30 p.m., is designed for parents of juniors and seniors who want to learn how to pay for college, regardless of the college their child plans to attend. Participants will learn about the financial aid process and will also hear insights from a parent and student who filed previously for financial aid.

Seniors and their parents interested in completing the online FAFSA and TAP applications during the sessions should bring documents outlined in a checklist.

The program will be held at Salamanca High School on February 26, Fredonia High School on March 4, Washington Middle School in Jamestown on March 11, and Cuba-Rushford Central School on March 18. Families from nearby school districts are welcome to attend the sessions at the host sites.

For more information, call JCC’s admissions office at the Jamestown Campus, 716.338.1001, or Cattaraugus County Campus, 716.376.7528.
