Director

I provide oversight of the adult learners initiative, which meets the needs of adult learners by creating pathways and eliminating barriers for adults to complete a program of study. My role also includes daily oversight of the North County Center, which offers a full range of credit and non-credit courses as well as training services to area businesses and industries.

I began my career at JCC as an adjunct in 2011, joining the ranks of the full time faculty in 2014. Before taking on my role as director of Career Advantage and North County Center, I was a tenured assistant professor in the teacher education department, teaching both education and psychology courses. I also served as the coordinator of early childhood education at JCC.

I am so excited for my role and the opportunity to serve JCC and our community! I love the fact that I can use my energy and passion for our students, JCC, and our region. I am able to use my leadership skills and collaborate with colleagues to advance our college experience for adults and to further connect JCC with the greater community that I love so much! I also remain teaching as an adjunct for JCC. Although I no longer call myself an assistant professor or serve on the full-time faculty, I will always be a teacher in my heart.

I truly love JCC, our mission, and my incredible colleagues. I welcome you into our Jayhawks family. Once you enter the doors of JCC, for one workshop or course or an entire degree, you become a part of our amazing community and you will always have a place here. Please contact me with any questions or if I can provide support in any way.
