Scholars Day Showcase Application Deadline

Friday, April 24, 2020 | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Scholars Day Showcase will take place in a new format this year to accommodate COVID-19 precautions.

Students are encouraged to showcase their scholarly projects by creating 5- to 7-minute video presentations. Once reviewed, the videos will be uploaded to a YouTube playlist. It’s an opportunity to showcase your honors projects, capstone projects, study abroad experiences, research projects, and creative endeavors from the fall 2019 or spring 2020 semester.

Important dates to note:

  • April 24 - application deadline: Applications must be submitted by April 24 using this form. However, you are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
  • April 29: Video presentations must be uploaded by noon. Students will receive uploading instructions and a link once their applications are received.
  • May 4: The Scholars Day Showcase YouTube playlist will become live for all to enjoy. Judges' reviews will take place throughout the week.

Scholars Day Showcase will be a single competition for students from all locations including College Connections. The judging panel will include representatives from the Jamestown Campus, the Cattaraugus County Campus, and the North County Center. Entries will be judged for content and presentation skills, rather than quality of video production. Prizes will be $100 for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third. Each presentation requires a faculty mentor and must be connected to either a fall or spring semester course.
