Percussionist, composer, producer, and Buffalo Music Hall of Fame inductee Wendell Rivera will perform in concert with his ensemble, which has been the cornerstone of Latin music in Western New York for more than two decades. Their invigorating sound incorporates molten Afro-Caribbean grooves with spirited solos and the free harmonic elements of progressive jazz. The group’s membership consists of six of the area’s best musicians: Wendell Rivera on percussion, Lisa Hasselback on piano, Mark Harris on bass, Joey Gonzales on timbales, and trumpeters Hansel Herrera and Calvin Rice.
