Invasive Plants, the Problems They Cause, and Practical Native Alternatives for Landscaping

Why should you plant natives in your yard? Dr. Jonathan Titus, SUNY Fredonia professor of biology, will discuss the problems with invasive and non-native plants and why native species are so much better. He will also share urban ecosystem can be more pollinator-and-bird friendly through our planting choices.

Join us and also learn more about the importance of wildlife and habitat conservation. With support and assistance from various individuals and community partners, including Jamestown Community College, the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy is working to certify Chautauqua County as a National Wildlife Federation Community Habitat.

This program is open to the public and will connect residents of the county to educate and engage them about the importance of wildlife and habitat conservation.
