Film: Sacred Cod

Thursday, October 25, 2018 | 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Sacred Cod, a feature length documentary, captures the collapse of the historic cod population in New England.

The screening is available at JCC's sites in Jamestown, Olean, and Dunkirk.

The film examines the role of overfishing, the impact of climate change, the effect of government policies on fishermen and the fish, and the prospect of a region built on cod having no cod left to fish.

Sponsored as part of JCC's honors symposium
