Expressive Arts Therapy with Erica Schwartz

Thursday, April 8, 2021 | 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Come learn about the transformative power of art!  Expressive Arts Therapy combines psychology and the creative process to promote wellness, self-care, emotional growth, and healing.  You don’t need to be an artist—it is believed that we all have an inborn desire to create as a therapeutic tool to help initiate change.  Join visiting art therapist Erica Schwartz as she leads experiential Zoom workshops for the JCC community.

All you need to bring is yourself, some paper, and any type of writing utensil. If you have some markers, or pencils, or crayons, feel free to bring these as well.   Please also print out 1 or 2 mandalas of your choice.  You can find free print-out mandalas at mondaymandala.com.  Art therapy encourages individuals to use multiple senses to explore their inner and outer worlds through the experience and creation of different art forms.

All events are open to the public and free of charge. This event is sponsored by the Society and Human Expression Career Community and the College Programming Committee.
