"The Best Part of Me" Exhibition Reception

View a display of self-portraits and writing created by Washington Middle School students.

Through an Arts Education grant from Tri-County Arts Council, the students worked with photographer Cathy Panebianco to create a piece of art that includes photographic self-portraits and writing featuring their favorite body part. The project pushed students to observe details, call up stories, and choose what they want to show an audience for exhibition.

The artists include Nate Barone, Naiomy Garcia, Conner Garcia, Kate Kathman, Jackson Kresge, Raegan Powers, Yeslimar Ramos-Lopez, Bianca Rojas, Yomaris Rojas, Gabrielle Seekings and Stavros Singleton.

The Best Part of Me project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by Tri-County Arts Council.
