Hyflex
Combines online and face-to-face instruction. Students may participate in different ways: online - synchronous, online - asynchronous, face-to-face, or as a flexible learner (student has a degree of choice as to how they participate each week).
Flex
Flex courses may provide students with the opportunity to meet in-person on campus, on the synchronous days and times already scheduled, if conditions allow.
Imputed credits
Imputed credits are developmental courses for students who need to prepare themselves for college-level work. They count toward financial aid requirements but do not count toward earned college credits or GPA.
Interactive TV
Classes are taught live from one campus location and broadcast to one or more additional campus locations. Cameras and microphones at all sites allow faculty and learners to see and talk with each other.
Intro to Communication — 3076

Students will be introduced to the theories, processes, and applications of verbal and non-verbal human communication and explore why and how people communicate (face-to-face, in public, through the mass media, etc.). Students will also examine the ways that new communication technologies are shaping private and public discourse. Students will gain the skills necessary to recognize and analyze communication failures and be able to apply those skills in the process of becoming more effective communicators. Public Speaking — 3077

Students will learn effective strategies for preparing and delivering engaging and ethical speeches across a variety of speaking contexts. Throughout the course, students will demonstrate key public speaking skills including: supporting points with research, conducting audience analysis, incorporating visual aids, refining delivery style, and employing public speaking competence in both media and non media settings.
