Instructor
I am an instructor in the Teacher Education department at JCC, working with pre-service teachers. My experience in teaching has been at the secondary level, working with students in grades 7 – 12, as well as alternative education. I have spent over 20 years in the classroom, specializing in mathematics. I earned my B.S. and M.S. from Buffalo State College in business education. After graduating with my M.S., I returned to Buffalo State to earn certification in secondary mathematics and my certificate of advanced study in educational leadership and facilitation. My NYS teaching certifications are in 7-12 Mathematics, Business & Distributive Education, Building Level Administrator (SAS), and District Level Administrator (SDA).
I look forward to working with students who hope to become teachers, as it a profession that requires commitment and dedication to future generations of learners.
Since joining the Teacher Education department, I have taken on the role of co-advisor of the Teacher Education Club and co-advisorship of Phi Theta Kappa.
