As a member of the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program at Jamestown Community College, I am excited to bring my experience and knowledge to the next generation of OTAs. Since graduating in 2019 as an occupational therapy assistant, I have gained hands-on experience in various settings such as inpatient (including intensive care unit), outpatient, hand therapy, skilled nursing facilities, neurology, and early intervention.
Along with transitioning to academia, I currently work at an outpatient clinic specializing in neurological diagnoses. Throughout my years of practicing, I have built a strong foundation of soft and hard skills that I hope to pass on to students. My main focus is to facilitate practical application through real-life simulations while adapting my teaching style to each individual student.
I continue to practice in the field as a COTA/L to build my skillset and implement new treatment approaches. I am also a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) to stay informed about the profession.
