Dance to great music, with great people, and burn calories without even realizing it. Zumba is an exercise fitness program created by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto "Beto" Pérez during the 1990s.
Join a virtual interactive call focused on equipping students and survivors of sexual violence with the knowledge and tools to embrace their voting power.
Participants will learn about the electoral process and local, state, and federal policies that have helped change the course of the sexual violence movement.
The event is hosted by It’s On Us, End Rape On Campus, and All In Campus Democracy Challenge.
Poems submitted to JCC's virtual student poetry contest will be presented and evaluated by a committee of faculty, staff, and students for award consideration tonight!
The winning entry will be read during a presentaiton by poet and storyteller ODD?Rod on October 28.
The poetry contest was coordinated by Maksat, a Hillside Suites resident assistant.
"LGBTQ+ Rights Under the NYS Human Rights Law," an overview of New York state's Human Rights Law, will give students a better understanding of the law and complaint process.
The session will also outline passage of the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA).
