Banned Books Week is an annual event launched in 1982 in response to a sudden surge in challenges to books in schools, bookstores, and libraries. The Hatch, in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cattaraugus County, is excited to announce its first workshop! Learn the science behind sourdough, its history, and the science behind it. The workshop will cover fermentation, food safety, and how to make sourdough starter. Attendees will get recipes, taste different sourdoughs, and leave ready to begin baking at home with their own starter!
