IMT through Workforce Development
The Industrial Maintenance Technician program through Workforce Development at Jamestown Community College is an intensive training that provides students with the necessary skills for entry-level positions installing, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment.
Students will learn the underlying principles and hands-on techniques of electronics, mechanics, and robotics. Courses provide students the desired expertise to install, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing mechanisms. This 12-week, in-person, hands-on program will provide students with foundational electromechanical skills as maintenance technicians in an industrial setting.
This program prepares students for careers in the following New York State Department of Labor O*NET SOC Codes: 17-3024-Electro-Mechanical Technicians, 49-9041-Industrial Machinery Mechanics, 49-9043-Maintenance Workers, Machinery, 49-9044-Millwrights.

Financing your training
The Industrial Maintenance Technician Workforce Development program is a $6,000 valued training. Due to generous grant funding, the cost for students is $2,400.
- Funding may be available to qualified individuals to help cover partial or full course fee. Sources include NYS Department of Labor Individual Training Accounts and local scholarships.
- Our team works with each student prior to enrollment to determine funding eligibility. Most students receive funding for part or all of the training cost.
