SUNY Jamestown Community College has welcomed four new full-time faculty members for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The new faculty members are Katherine Brand, a biology and chemistry instructor; Ken Loomis, a computer science instructor; Krista Przybelinski, a nursing instructor; and Laura Turnbull, a human services assistant professor.
Brand joins JCC’s Cattaraugus County Campus after serving as a teaching assistant at Syracuse University. She holds a master’s degree in chemistry from Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from SUNY Oswego. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in chemistry at Syracuse University.
Loomis rejoins the Jamestown Campus faculty after serving in the same position from 2013 to 2016. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Edinboro University and most recently taught AP Computer Science and STEM at Scheck Hillel Community School in Florida.
Przybelinski joins the Jamestown Campus nursing faculty, bringing both professional experience and a connection to the college as a JCC Nursing program graduate. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in adult nurse practitioner from Daemen College. Before joining JCC, she worked as a nurse practitioner at Westfield Family Physicians.
Turnbull joins the human services faculty at the Jamestown Campus after several years of experience at the college. She most recently served as director of JCC’s Liberty Partnerships Program and has previously taught as an adjunct instructor at JCC. Turnbull holds a master’s degree in social work from the University at Buffalo and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Moravian College.
