JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — SUNY Jamestown Community College’s Jayhawk Explore & Soar Occupational Therapy Clinic is accepting registrations for its fall 2026 session, offering free, educational-based therapeutic experiences for children and families through the college’s Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Explore & Soar provides 30-minute therapeutic sessions for children and their families in the Jamestown Campus on-campus clinic in Sheldon Center. Sessions are designed for all children, and a formal diagnosis is not required to participate.
The clinic operates as a student-led learning environment in which Occupational Therapy Assistant students plan and conduct sessions as part of their clinical education. All services are provided under the direct supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to ensure safety and quality of care.
Parents and caregivers also participate in educational and support activities focused on practical, evidence-based strategies they can use at home to support their child’s growth and development.
The fall 2026 session will meet Wednesdays from Sept. 23 through Dec. 2, excluding Nov. 25.
Clinic capacity is limited, and completion of the registration form does not guarantee placement in the program. Children may be placed on a waitlist for a future semester based on availability and student advancement.
