JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — SUNY Jamestown Community College’s Music Department will showcase its student and faculty talent with two upcoming recitals on the Jamestown Campus. Both events are free and open to the public.

The 2026 Student Recital will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, in Sheldon Center Room 138. The performance will feature JCC’s top student soloists presenting an eclectic mix of music spanning from Bach to Broadway and beyond. The program highlights the skill and versatility of the college’s student musicians across a variety of styles and genres.

The 2026 Faculty Recital will take place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, also in Sheldon Center 138. This performance will feature faculty soloists and ensembles, offering a diverse program of musical selections.

The recital will also include a special guest appearance by saxophonist Andy Wen, who will remain on campus for a three-day residency. Wen last visited JCC for a two-day workshop series and live performance in 2022.

“We’re excited to showcase the incredible talent of our students and faculty through these recitals,” said Neil Flory, chair of JCC’s Music Department. “These performances highlight not only the hard work and dedication of our musicians, but also the diversity of musical styles and experiences our program offers.”

A livestream of the recitals will be available for those who cannot attend. Visit sunyjcc.edu/Events and navigate to the event dates to find the viewing links.

Both recitals are sponsored by the Faculty Student Association, the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Division, and the JCC Music Department.
