OLEAN, N.Y. — Cattaraugus County Campus students in SUNY Jamestown Community College’s Manufacturing Technology Institute programs were given a toolkit graduation gift during a campus gathering last week.
Thanks to the Cattaraugus County Campus Alumni Association, 20 graduates in Welding Technology, Mechanical Technology Machine Tool, Mechanical Technology Design were presented with important tools to help get them started on their post-JCC careers. Funds for the toolkits came from the Alumni Association’s annual June golf tournament.

The Welding toolkits included a Carhart tool bag, angle grinder, locking plier sets, and grinder supplies.
Toolkits for Machine Tool graduates included a compact and multi-color 3D printer with automatic material changing system to allow students to print prototypes and finished parts.
The Design toolkits included a SpaceMouse, which is used in combination with a traditional computer mouse to allow smooth and efficient navigation of complex 3D models, a digital caliper for reverse engineering and component inspection, and handbooks on fasteners and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
