SUNY JCC Announces Spring Music Performances

The Music department at SUNY Jamestown Community College released its spring schedule of events recently. These free events are all on the Jamestown Campus and open to the public.
 
The JCC Music Department Faculty Recital is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, April 28 in room 138 of the Sheldon Center. Faculty from the Music department will present an eclectic program full of dynamic performances.

JCC’s Student Music Recital will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 5, Sheldon Center Room 138. This concert features some of JCC’s finest student musicians performing in a variety of styles.

The Spring Concert is planned for 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 in the Scharmann Theatre and live streamed via Zoom. This concert features the JCC Concert Choir directed by Julie Costantini, and the Concert Band directed by Chris Wakefield performing captivating musical selections in a range of styles.
 
The series wraps up with JCC’s annual Spring Jam! at  7 p.m. Thursday, May 9 in the Scharmann Theatre. This high-energy concert showcases JCC student rock ensembles directed by Bill Eckstrom, and will be live streamed via Zoom.

“The spring concert series at JCC never fails to provide lots of excellent music,” said Neil Flory, associate professor of Music at JCC. “There’s sure to be something for everyone, and we hope everyone will be there.”
