JCC has hired Ken Ricker as the college’s golf coach.

Denny Fellows will join Ricker as the assistant coach.

“We welcome Ken to JCC’s coaching staff and look forward to his ability to develop our current players and  build the program in the future,” said JCC athletic director George Sisson.

“We feel our golf program has a lot to offer players, encouraging them to develop their game and have a chance to play on the national stage at the end of the season.”

In June, JCC will host the NJCAA National Division III Golf Championship for the 20th consecutive year at Chautauqua Golf Course.

JCC, which will participate in 12 tournaments prior to the regionals in mid-May, will host its own invitational on May 3 at Chautauqua Golf Course.

“I have been interested for a long time in being a Jayhawk again,” said Ricker, who was JCC’s assistant women’s basketball coach from 1992 to 1994. “When the opportunity to be a part of the program became available, I was so excited.”
