Gregory Rabb, a political science professor at JCC, was recently named a Richard P. Nathan Public Policy Fellows at the Rockefeller Institute of Government.

Dr. Rabb's fellowship research will take an in-depth look at 10 representative small cities in New York state to examine conditions that led to fiscal stress in 2018, and how these cities have coped. He will develop recommendations for short-, middle-, and long-term policy solutions.

The Rockefeller Institute is the public policy research arm of the State University of New York. The institute conducts cutting-edge research and analysis to inform lasting solutions to the problems facing New York state and the nation.

He has served as president and councilman at-large for the Jamestown City Council since 2008, a city of Jamestown marriage officer since 2011, and was a delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention from New York's U.S. House District 27.

A member of the JCC faculty since 1986, Dr. Rabb earned a juris doctor degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo, a master's degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a bachelor's degree at Canisius College.
