JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Job seekers will have an opportunity to connect with military-friendly employers, law enforcement agencies, and other local organizations during SUNY Jamestown Community College’s Next Mission Career Fair from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at the Jamestown Campus Student Union in Hamilton Collegiate Center.
The career fair is open to all job seekers, especially veterans and military-aligned family members. Students, alumni, and community members are also welcome.
“Making connections with employers can be an important first step toward finding the right career opportunity,” said Julie Page, JCC director of Career Services. “We want to make it easier for veterans, military families, students, and other job seekers to meet employers who are actively looking to hire and to get the support they need to move forward in their job search.”
Attendees will be able to meet with employers and local agencies, learn about career opportunities, and receive assistance with applying for positions. Job seekers are encouraged to bring several copies of their resumes. Veterans and military-aligned individuals should also bring a DD214 or military ID.
Job seekers can register online and view a current list of participating employers. The employer list will be updated as additional organizations register.
Employers interested in participating can register online by Oct. 30.
