SUNY Jamestown Community College will host an evening of visual and performing arts events on May 9 in the Sheldon Center on the Jamestown Campus.
Beginning at 5 p.m. SUNY JCC acting students will present monologues from “A Bright Room Called Day” by Tony Kushner in the Weeks Gallery. This is also the last day the Juried Student Art Exhibition is on display in the gallery and available for viewing.
At 7 p.m. in the adjacent Scharmann Theatre, JCC’s Rock Ensembles will perform their annual Spring Jam. All events are free and open to the public.
“It’s a great opportunity for the community to come to JCC and see several aspects of our arts programs at work in one evening,” said Emily Drew, artist in residence through Creatives Rebuild New York. “We have so many talented students and we’re looking forward to coming together in appreciation of all of them together.”
More information on these and other events at JCC can be found at sunyjcc.edu/events.
