Students and an accompanying professor from Nagasaki University, Japan are in residence at JCC through September 21.
While at JCC, the 12 visiting students are taking an intensive, non-credit English immersion course; visiting workplaces including Cummins Engine, Chautauqua Institution, the Chautauqua Center, and the Roger Tory Peterson Institute; presenting to students at Bush Elementary School, Fenner Elementary School, and Lincoln Elementary School; practicing conversation skills with JCC honors students; and auditing credit courses at JCC.
Coordinated through JCC’s global learning office, the program is part of JCC’s efforts to enhance global perspectives for all students.
