JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Five students graduated from SUNY Jamestown Community College’s Workforce Development Industrial Maintenance Technician program on April 17 during a ceremony at the Jamestown Campus.

The cohort marked the 11th group to complete the short-term program, which prepares students for entry-level positions installing, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment.

Graduates also attended a job fair at the DoubleTree Inn, where they met with several local employers seeking skilled technicians.

The graduates are Jayeola Abiola of Jamestown; Cody Holzhausen of Jamestown; Robert Inserra of Jamestown; Lucas Lawrie of Dunkirk; and Matthew Logue of Jamestown.

The acquisition of several grants, and the collaboration with area Workforce Development boards, made it possible to offer this advanced manufacturing program at no cost to students.
